HOW TO CHOOSE WHICH BROW TECHNIQUE IS BEST FOR ME?

At the beginning of your initial appointment we will assess and choose a technique based on a number of factors:

  • age
  • eyebrow goals
  • skin elasticity
  • skin complexion
  • amount of hair present
  • thickness of hair
  • medical conditions

Individuals with young, normal/dry skin are best candidates for microblading. Individuals with combination/oily or aging skin are better suited for combo/powder/nano brows. However, combo, powder and nano brows work great on all skin types.

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique using a small, disposable blade comprised of tiny, fine-point needles. The blade finely scratches the surface of the skin, creating thin, crisp hairlike strokes on the epidermis layer of the skin.

Using this technique, I can create a natural light finish to a bold brow look.

WHAT ARE COMBO BROWS?

Combo brows are a combination of microblading or nano with shading so you get the best of both.  The Shading method is similar to a traditional tattoo, using tiny dots of pigment inserted into the skin. This method creates the soft, fluffy front strokes of Microblading or Nano and the fullness and definition of Shading.

This technique is fully customizable for clients who wants the fluffiness of Microblading or Nano and the dimension of Shading. When healed, you will have a natural, yet defined brow.

WHAT ARE POWDER BROWS?

The powder brow is similar to a traditional tattoo, using the application of many tiny dots of pigment inserted into the skin gradually building up color and a defined shape.

If you have oily or combination skin, or fill in your brows regularly with pencil or shadow, this is the method for you because it mimics the look of filled in brows.

DOES IT HURT?

It is slightly uncomfortable but completely bearable. Pain can be a 0-2 out of 10. The tattooing process lasts about an hour.  I use an excessive amount of numbing and my technique is extremely gentle.

If you are nervous about pain, you may take 1-2 Tylenol 30 minutes before your appointment.

DO NOT take Advil or drink anything with caffeine before your appointment. Caffeine and Advil will cause you to bleed a lot and also make you more sensitive during the procedure.

CAN I STILL GET LIP BLUSH IF I HAVE LIP FILLER?

Yes! in no way does having Lip filler interfere with the process of tattooing lips or the results.

Note that lip filler and lip blush appointments MUST be at least 4 weeks apart from each other.

FOR LIP BLUSH, CAN WE GO OUTSIDE THE LIPLINE?

Yes, only 2mm. The skin on the lips is not the same as on the face and things can look unnatural or get unpredictable when we tattoo too far outside the natural lipline.

DOES LIP BLUSH TRIGGER COLD SORES?

This procedure can trigger cold sores for carriers of the herpes simplex virus. To prevent cold sores from flaring up it is recommended to go to your family doctor and get an antiviral medication prescribed to take 5 days prior procedure, the day of, and 5 days after.

Note that a cold sore outbreak can alter the healed results of the tattoo.

CAN I RECEIVE SERVICES IF I AM PREGNANT OR NURSING?

We are unable to perform any services on anyone who is pregnant because when you open the skin you always run the risk of infection.

I’m comfortable tattooing a nursing mother as long as you’re aware there is a risk involved. I always recommend to pump and dump for 24 hours to make sure you’re free from infection.

ARE THERE ANY ALLERGIC REACTIONS TO THE PIGMENTS?

The pigments used on all our procedures are hypoallergenic and reactions to these products are extremely rare.

However, after care instructions should be strictly followed to prevent any bacterial infection.

ARE THESE PROCEDURES SAFE?

Yes. Each procedure is done under strict sanitation and sterilization rules. A well-trained, certified semi-permanent makeup artist administers each procedure using disposable needles and parts.
